Welcome to the Twitter Fan wiki!
This is a wiki! This means that anyone with an account can edit or add to the pages you see here. Just click the Edit button (note: I've removed the "Request Access" step)!
Also keep in mind that this wiki is not officially affiliated with Twitter in anyway. It's a labor of love from way back when Twitter was a wee five-letter, vowel-less startup! For help or questions with your Twitter account, please visit the Twitter Help site.
— Chris, Wiki Founder & Admin
Since the Twitter folks hadn't put up a wiki yet, it seemed like a good idea to get one going out of the community.
Lately there's been a bunch of scripts and other cool ideas pushed forward and it's finally time that we had a place to bring them all together.
Getting Around
As the wiki has grown, we've branched off the content into specific pages.
The sidebar's pretty handy, but here's where some good meat is at:
What is the Twitter?

Twitter is a way of life. It's living with a publicity policy. It's friends, Romans and country people the world over engaged in timely snippet conversations that fit into 140 character chunks.
Go sign up and see what this is all about.
Twitter began as a product of Obvious, LLC and was subsequently spun off as a separate company called Twitter, Inc. in April 2007, with Jack Dorsey as CEO.

Totally in love with this Twitter Fan Wiki! I've been trying to spread word of it far and wide! I think the possibilities for Twitter integration have barely just begun. The Twitter API makes it easy to do what needs to be done. signed, the Twitter Submitter guy - simplify3 (http://simplify3.wordpress.com/2006/12/10/hello-world/trackback/)

Dunno who the Wiki's admin is .. but if you're reading this:
There's a style.css I've uploaded that I post for consideration as wiki.css. Only admins are allowed to upload the wiki.css. If you're not happy with it, then at least please use the bit that turns the headings all to a sans typeface ..
(BTW: There seems to be no way for regular users to delete files .. can an admin?)

Are there any plugins for PBWIKI to pull twitter information on people?

can the Wiki admin add the 30 Boxes Calendar Plug in so we have a place to post Twitter-related events and activities?

I created a separate transportation page, but can you remove it, since I found a place for the link under non-person twitters? Thanks.

Dave, I moved your content to here to keep the homepage clean: http://twitter.pbwiki.com/FanSubmissions

I'm not happy that my e-mail address is posted, as a link, to the "recent changes" (and this) page, with no prior warning; and that no prior verification takes place.

Your email is only posted once you've created your account and is only visible to logged in users, AFAIK.

Andy Mabbett: Your email address will only be visible to people who are logged into the wiki. If you have a PBwiki Account, you can choose to have it not visible to anyone, even registered users. For example, your name showed up to me as non-clickable when I was not logged into this wiki, but once I logged in, using the publicly available invite key, I could see your email address.

Hello does anyone know what I am doing on this website?

If the password (invite key) is going to be kept on the front page, it should probably be locked from editing. Someone changed it, probably to make it harder for someone to remove the spam that is all over the wiki.

Hmm. Okay, thanks for the report Todd.

This change actually removes the ability to edit this wiki like a WIKI... what's the point of that? Now it's actually harder to edit and maintain the pages I work on... One save and the whole formatting of the page I tried to add a single link to went totally wonky. Makes no sense. A Wiki should really edit like a Wiki, not some WYSIWYG text editor...
Visually, it looks better though.

You can still edit the source -- and the editor does a pretty good job of respecting your markup. Which page went wonky?

This isn't really a forum -- it's a collection of resources. What are you looking to do?
